Hell yes. As I've stated many times, I am all in on pretty much every and any basketball documentary. I can't get enough of them and it doesn't really matter what the subject matter is. Player focused, team focused, Olympics focused, I'm IN. This new trend of having a camera crew following teams for seasons or Olympic runs is one of the best things to happen to sports media in 2024 in my opinion, and anything that gives those of us on the outside an inside look and behind the scenes moments is always going to be an instant watch for me. For example, have you seen Devin Booker's personal doc that he put out about his Team USA journey? Since it's Friday, I highly recommend you burn some time at work watching it

With the success of Hard Knocks and Netflix having their own QB and WR shows while also currently filming the Red Sox season, I have no doubt that this Olympic documentary is going to be tremendous. They seem to know what they're doing over there when it comes to this stuff, and it's not like there aren't a ton of awesome storylines from the Olympics that will be great to have some behind-the-scenes footage from.

You have Canada's flop, the close Team USA group play games, France vs Japan, South Sudan's story, Jokic vs Embiid, Steph going nuclear, Jayson Tatum's DNPs, Yabu's poster dunk, the list is endless. From the sounds of things, it sure seems like this doc is going to kick major ass

It also doesn't matter that we already know who won. This is more about the journey, and as someone who has been watching something very similar all summer, I can tell you that already knowing the result doesn't matter one bit with these things. For example, this might be the greatest doc ever created

because it's not just about the result, but everything that went into it that we as fans don't get to see. It's why I can't get enough of these things. When they're done right, they almost always deliver. I have the same feeling when it comes to the NBA Bubble documentary that's on the way as well.

But just like with that one, this Olympics doc needs to make sure to include the juicy stuff. Show us the beefs. Show us the shit talking. Show us shit that we didn't see on TV or on social media. Show us how other countries around the world went about trying to beat the Team USA Avengers, I want it all.

The only downside to this announcement is the fact that we have to wait until 2025. Is that January 2025? Next summer? I understand things take time and whatnot, but what a cock tease. At least give us a trailer or something! For now, all we really have is this
