Bo Nix Named Broncos Week 1 Starter Over Zach Wilson and First Rookie Since Elway
Well after blogging how things were looking up for Zach Wilson this morning, they are now looking pretty bad. Bo Nix, a guy that confused everyone with where he was drafted, has now officially been named the starter.
I mean that's a pretty dope story. The guy was the man at Auburn where he threw for 2,542 yards and 16 touchdowns as a freshman. After three seasons, he transferred to Oregon, where he had a standout 2022 season with 3,594 passing yards and 29 touchdowns. In 2023, he further excelled, amassing 4,508 passing yards and 45 touchdowns. Dude had some outstanding plays in college and his preseason tape has been pretty decent.
Famously they had their draft board up at random to solidify stealing Bo Nix.
Bo Nix is a new-age QB, a guy who worked in the college game and might be able to take it to the next level by being older and working in various different schemes. A guy kinda like Joe Burrow in a way just with fewer college championships and success.
Dude might even know how to teleport.
I was familiar with Bo Nix's stats and saw more games of him at Auburn. But he is ridiculously clutch.
His scrambling and ability to throw has gotten him amazing success and now I am buying in on the Bo Nix train.
The dude beat Saban Era Bama. He can get it done.
