The Jaylen Brown Revenge Tour Is Well Underway

Is it possible to have a "revenge tour" season when you were one of the best players on a team that went 80-21 on their journey to winning the NBA title and along the way you collected both an ECF and Finals MVP?

On the surface, that's not really a situation you have a "revenge tour' in response to. To most, that would seem like a pretty fucking awesome season. When it comes to Jaylen Brown, we get the best of both worlds. We saw him reach the top of the mountain, we saw him get the recognition he so obviously has deserved for years now, AND we get a Jaylen Brown revenge tour in 2024-25.

- Snubbed from All NBA

- Snubbed from All Defense

- Snubbed from Team USA (twice)

So in this instance, yes, it is possible to have all those accomplishments and still find a way to come back for a revenge tour in 2024-25. You know how we know this is on the table with Jaylen? He brought back the underwater workouts

Notice what's on the ball being dribbled (with his left hand btw)?

Allow me to explain why this should have you VERY excited as a Celtics fan and fearful if you happen to be a fan of a team that is going to try and dethrone the Champs. This is something we've seen before from Jaylen, most notably in the Summer of 2022

I'll remind you, the 2022-23 NBA season that followed this summer workout regimen was the best season of Jaylen Brown's career up to that point. He made his 2nd All Star team, his first All NBA team, earned his supermax, and put up 26.6/6.9/3.5 on 49/33% splits in 67 games. We saw him take that pain from the 2022 Finals and use it as motivation to turn into a complete two-way monster.

Well, welcome to Version 2.0.

Now an NBA champion, Jaylen is entering this season playing the best basketball of his life, but now he has even more motivation. I was expecting another monster season anyway given what bozos Grant Hill and Steve Kerr proved themselves to be this summer, but now that we can see Jaylen has unleashed the underwater training again this summer I'm afraid we're about to reach levels that are far above any of our wildest dreams. As a reminder, this is where we're starting from. Not bad!

Given the lack of Summer Workout SZN propaganda so far this summer, I'd say this is a welcomed sight. I know most normal people are still trying to squeeze every little bit of summer out of these last few weeks, but not me. I'm ready for October. I'm ready to see the Champs remind the basketball world that while trolling on Twitter may be fun in July and August, things are much different once we're back to the normal NBA schedule.

Once that happens, there's nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.
