PREDICTION: If Kyle Schwarber Slays 3 Home Runs And 7 RBI's Every Game, The Phillies Should Win The 2024 World Series

I know, I know. We're really going out on a limb with that headline. But if Kyle Schwarber is going to give The Fightins 3 home runs (4 in two games) and 7 RBI's every single night, I'm gonna say they'll be favored to win the World Series this year. Them just the facts. Schwarber set the tone with a good ol' fashioned Oppo Taco to lead off the game, followed it up with a 2-RBI double, then dinger, and another dinger. 4-4, 7 RBI, and a BB. Not a bad evening whatsoever, especially in LA who I've been told is pretty darn good at this baseball thing. 

Here's all three majestic blasts in order - Bam, Pap, BOOM!!! 

.261 on the year for a career .238 hitter who was getting RAILED this time last season for batting around .180 (albeit, was still a productive bat at that average because of walks and dingers). This is Schwarber's season long Hoagiefest and we're just here to enjoy the ride. 

Credit to Schwarber, obviously, but also to the pitching staff for relatively holding down the fort the past two victories. Tyler Phillips gave The Fightins 5 OK enough innings before the bullpen with 4 separate arms - Orion, Jose, Strahm, and Yunior - came in and shut shit down last night to preserve the comeback. Now it's onto Airzona to face a white Diamonbacks club that is shocking back to 10 games above .500. There's still blood that needs to be spilled from last season's disaster that was the NLCS. Keep it rolling, and show no mercy.
