"Death To The Patriots" - Antonio Pierce Explains The Decision By The Giants To Wear All Black Heading To Super Bowl XLII

On today's Pardon My Take... ANTONIO PIERCE! The Super Bowl Champion and Head Coach of the Las Vegas Raiders joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show from Training Camp to talk about grit, getting the HC job, the 2007 Giants, what being born a Raider means, and tons more.

The 2007 Giants capped off what was one of, if not the most notable wins in Super Bowl history. The David Tyree catch, upsetting the Patriots, spoiling the perfect season, etc. There are so many great storylines from this epic football game, and one of them was discussed during today's PMT interview: the Giants' decision to wear all black to Super Bowl XLII. Take a look at this clip from the show...

Honestly, there are so many times that you see a team participate in a certain ritual only for it to backfire immensely. The entire 2007 Giants team marched onto that trip to Glendale wearing all black (with the exception of Eli Manning, which I find very funny), and successfully pulled off the humongous upset.

Giants 17, Patriots 14

And just for fun, let's go down memory lane with Antonio Pierce's incredible Giants career…

The 1972 Miami Dolphins have Pierce and his Giants to thank for still being the lone team in that undefeated club. In today's NFL, who knows if we will ever see it again? We have already added a 17th game. And if the league extends to 18? Don't expect it to happen any time soon…
