The Olympic Golf Leaderboard Heading Into The Final Round Is Easily The Best We've Seen All Year, Wish It Was Like This Every Week

Look at that leaderboard. It's damn near perfect. Rahm and Xander tied. Big names everywhere with Scottie, Rory, Aberg and Day lurking. Even with Steve Sands talking about the race to the podium 2 holes into today, it's worth it now. I know it's Olympic golf. I know it's not what we have all the time, but it should be. Not to mention you get days like today. Dudes throwing punches, putting up low scores, answering other people.

Highlight break!

Apologize for your phone breaking, wanted to make sure I got it in all there because of how the round went. I know, I'm just a fan. I'm not being approached with hundreds of millions of dollars, but I miss this. Also, well aware that every tournament is a 60-man field, but we're being robbed of this sort of leaderboard on a regular basis because of the two tours. It fucking stinks. That's the only thing I can say that sums it up well. I don't want to dwell on it too much, because I want to enjoy tomorrow's final round.

There are storylines everywhere. Xander going for a second gold medal, capping off a run with two majors and that and we need to have a legit discussion about him vs Scottie for best year. Rahm basically being nowhere near leaderboards during the majors this season (outside of The Open). Fleetwood trying to get over the 'never finishes first' story. Aberg, Scottie, Rory, Day trying to chase them down. Hideki just sneaky consistent again. Hojgaard being the up and coming guy, joining Tom Kim for another breakthrough event. It's perfect. I probably forgot someone like Thomas Detry who has been solid this year.

All I'm saying is I'm used to Sunday's in the summer having this sort of firepower in golf. I don't know how many times we've gotten a leaderboard like this though. You're talking the top names throughout the sport. It's going to be on the morning, the perfect time for golf if you ask me. Enjoy it because we're not seeing something close to this again until The Masters.
