Finally, We've Found A Way To Cook A Bunch Of BBQ While Maintaining That Summer Bod
One of the best parts about the summer is being able to comfortably cook outdoors. You throw some ribs on the smoker and can just hang outside with a 12-pack for the next few hours. It's a great way to spend your summer weekends.
The only issue with cooking a shit ton of bbq all summer, however, is that means you are eating a shit ton of bbq all summer. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, since it's delicious and everything. But you don't want to turn into a massive slob. You're not trying to win any bodybuilding competitions or anything like that, but you're also not looking to become a total lard ass either.
So here's the simple solution--just start squatting your smoker during each cook. By the time your pork belly is done smoking, you should have repped out enough squats at that point to offset that caloric carnage you are about to unleash on your body. Toss a bench in there and maybe rep out a few presses if you want to indulge in some sides. And the good news is that you should already have some pickles going, so you can just chug down some of the brine if you're starting to feel your muscles start to tense up between sets. It's the perfect workout to maintain a perfectly average dad bod, while still being able to enjoy a perfect balance of salty, sweet, smoked meats.
