Stephen Nedoroscik, The Glasses-Wearing Pommel Horse Dude, Is The Newest US Olympic Star After Delivering A Clutch Performance To Win Us A Medal

Do I fully understand gymnastics scoring? Of course not. But it's the Olympics, which means I'm going to lose my mind and scream screw job if we don't get that green arrow I see on scores. What I do know is star power and Stephen Nedoroscik has that. Why? Well, allow me to explain a bit more. Today we had the team competition for men's gymnastics. We aren't the same dominant force as we are in women's gymnastics. But we have Stephen Nedoroscik, who is basically a field goal kicker/closer/whatever you want to call him because he specializes in pommel horse. He made the team to deliver there. The same event we ended on.

Dude sat around for a couple hours waiting for his moment with everyone calling him Clark Kent and Robbie Fox. Two incredible compliments.

And what happens? ROCK, FLAG AND EAGLE BABY

The kid from Worcester delivered. He more than delivered

All I know is pressure or not I'm tearing both nuts on that pommel horse. Stephen Nedoroscik didn't come close to doing that. He pommeled, he lived up to the hype and he got us a medal. That's star power right there. Everyone talking about the Pommel Horse Guy, something he should think about legally changing his name too. It's why I love the Olympics. You get random people, people you never thought about in your life before, coming in, dominating a sport and leaving as the newest star. That happened here. I still don't know how we didn't win gold with how much I saw China and Japan falling late. Again, not a gymnastics pro here.

Love that he put the glasses right back on after he was done. Job here is finished, time to put on the glasses. That's just understanding the moment and knowing what people will talk about. Shout out America, shout out Stephen.
