Paddy The Baddy And Meatball Molly Are Both On Weight And Ready For Tomorrow
UFC 304 goes down tomorrow night in Manchester, England (where it'll actually be early morning) headlined by a rematch with some bad blood in Leon Edwards vs Belal Muhammed; and it's co-main evented by another rematch in Tom Aspinall vs Curtis Blaydes - but our favorite Scousers are fightin as well, and both of them just made weight!
That's right - Paddy the Baddy and Meatball Molly will be fighting on the same card for the first time in two years; Molly takes on Bruna Brasil as a -345 favorite and Paddy faces his toughest challenge to date, Bobby "King" Green, as a -105 dog.
I think Brasil is a great matchup stylistically for Molly, and the Meatball should find a finish in the second or third round. She looks and feels great in this new division, has a fantastic mindset leading into this fight, and I think her power is gonna be too much for Bruna to withstand. Maybe she even runs back the spinnin elbow for the threepeat.
If only Dave were going so she could hop back into his arms after the win!
Paddy undoubtedly has a tougher task ahead of him, taking on a fighter as skilled and experienced as Bobby Green - but let's not act like a 13-10-2 fighter in the UFC is unbeatable. Bobby's been knocked out a few times, recently really badly by Jalin Turner, and Paddy's certainly got some power in those hands. He's also a very crafty submission artist and if he drops or even rocks Green, I think he's going to wrap him up like a pretzel real quick.
Bobby may be fighting extra emotional as well, because he's pissed Paddy was given custom shorts for this fight....
Oh, and just a side note - I think WSD's gonna be in for a long night cheering for Custis Blaydes and Belal Muhammed….
I respect the Chicago/American pride, but c'mon - Edwards and Aspinall are both whooping ass tomorrow night.
Aspinall's probably gonna get another first round knockout and Edwards will just pick apart Belal's "Canelo-like striking" for five straight rounds to be given a 50-45 decision. Their walkouts may be more entertaining than their fights! We'll see, though.
We interviewed both Meatball Molly and Tom Aspinall ahead of UFC 304, so check those out below….
