A Rivalry That's Great For The NFL: Ja'Marr Chase Is Refusing To Say Patrick Mahomes Name Because He's Pissed About All The Super Bowls

On one hand I really appreciate this. I'm very vocal about how rivalries need to matter again in sports, how I want some form of hate, at least not liking other teams. I want shit talking or little jabs at a minimum. On the other hand Bengals fans losing their goddamn mind over this is driving me insane. I'm also very vocal about how annoying I think Bengals fans are. I know you can say be around any fanbase long enough and you'll think the same. Fair, but I've lived in various parts of the country and while the Eagles are the worst, the Bengals fanbase has a legit case for most annoying. You could be talking about a Chiefs/Bills game and they'll scream at you for not talking about Joe Burrow enough. 

I do appreciate Ja'Marr Chase being the 2nd biggest name on the Bengals and at least giving a shit though. Like I said, that matters to me. Is it dumb to not say Patrick Mahomes name? Of course. But part of me loves it. I want the Bengals, Bills and Chiefs all to hate each other. They were at least always the top-3 in the AFC the last few years when healthy, but give me anyone who is in that top group to hate each other. 

I'm also sure the Chiefs will laugh this off. They'll bring it up because there's always subtle shots between the two teams. But the Chiefs just win Super Bowls, that's all that matters.
