Sam Pittman Says Arkansas's Focus in 2024 Is To 'Embrace the Hog'

We officially have the quote of 2024's Talking Season, courtesy of Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman. The Razorbacks will be embracing the hog this season.

I wish somebody had asked a follow-up on what this really means. Make Pittman explain exactly how he and his players will embrace the hog. Does every man have to embrace his own hog or can multiple teammates embrace the hog with one another? If this is the team's focus this season, we need to know as much as we can.

I just hope embracing the hog helps Pittman and Co. win some football games, because he's on the hottest seat in the SEC outside of Billy Napier, who is only still employed at this point to go bite the bullet on what is going to be a tire fire of a season for Florida. Arkansas will likely need to embrace their hogs quite hard to find six wins this year.

Whatever happens with the Razorbacks this season, though, Sam Pittman will always be a treasure. And in 2025 and beyond, he can go back to being an offensive line coach where his quirkiness and talents will be more appricated.
