Team USA's Joel Embiid Is Having A Really, Really, REALLY Tough First Half Vs. Jokic And Serbia
Here's a little life lesson of objectivity for you kids. As a staunch Sixers supporter observer, do I sometimes defend and/or blow Sir Joel Hans Embiid to the point where a restraining order could realistically be presented to the courts? Possibly. And by possibly, I mean of course. Simply no other way to live in these suburban Philly streets. Therefore, since I deserve the MVP when he's at his best, I must accept him at his worst. And outside of every injury filled/frustrating playoff push that somehow ends before the 2nd round, this right here ain't the best look. Granted, it's not Joel Embiid's fault the NBA rewards this shot attempt with a foul call 100/100 times - All day, everyday, and twice on Sunday. It's just what THIS LEAGUE has become. But obviously it's not a great look on the international stage which goes by more of the "No blood, no foul" whistle, for better or worse (probably better tbh). Especially when Embiid is battling against Jokic.
Damn you, reality. Fundamentals seem to be lacking all across the board in France for JoJo.
It's a simple layup, Joel. Gotta work on that Mikan drill so the Easter Seals can help prosper another year. But at least his passing is still underrated across the pond.
Alllllriggghttt. Enough is enough. Let's all settle down now and remember what's important. Hey Joel - Don't get hurt. Win a gold medal, and return to the states in one piece. That is all. Let's forget this one, isolated Euroball half and kindly move on with our lives. Please.
Cue it.
