The Devil Wears Prada Is Actually, For Real, Getting A Sequel

GIRD YOUR MOTHER FUCKING LOINS PEOPLE!!!! I've been seeing these rumors all week, "DWP is getting a sequel! All the originals are back! Meryl said yes!!" and I won't lie, I was hesitant to believe it. This isn't the first time we've been teased with a sequel of this masterpiece of a movie. But now? After this grid post from MERYL HERSELF proclaiming Miranda will return? It's time to squeeze our Size 6 asses into our seats and start thinking about FLORALS FOR SPRING. 

Groundbreaking, truly. The Devil Wears Prada is one of my all time favorites, and I know the feeling is mutual throughout the hallowed halls of Barstool Sports. If I recall, Trent is also a HUGE fan of this movie. How could you not be? Bad Bitch Meryl embodies this role better than anything I've ever seen her do, and it's a damn shame this movie wasn't up for an Oscar when it came out. Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci are just the icing on top, and I'm over the moon to hear that we're going all out for Part 2 - even bringing back the original director and producer. It's a general fear of the masses that sequels can sometimes jump the shark or ruin an original, but I have firm thoughts that this will not be the case here. Everyone will bring their A game, everyone cares a ton about this story, and we'll be ushering in a new generation of fashion obsessed girlies who worship the ground Miranda walks on, whether they like it or not. 

As for the contents of the movie - it's got to be set in more modern times, right? I remember people trying to cancel DWP a few years ago, calling it problematic etc etc....well, yes! That's the point! Congrats, you got the message! I wonder if they'll lean into that this time around, or if they'll rebel completely and continue showing how much of a mess working in magazines truly is (still, to this day.) No one ever likes seeing how the sausage is made! I, for one, cannot wait. IMAGINE THE PRESS TOUR!!!!! The fashions! The attitudes! The hair!
