"I Had To Wait In Line To Buy A Fucking Coffee!" Kevin Bacon Put On Makeup To Find Out What It Was Like To Not Be Famous And Safe To Say He Wasn't A Fan

Source - Kevin Bacon recently experienced life as a non-famous person, donning an elaborate disguise to see what life would be like if he weren’t recognizable to the public. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F actor said he soon concluded, “This sucks.”

Bacon, who is also currently starring in Ti West’s horror pic MaXXXine, explained to VF, “I’m not complaining, but I have a face that’s pretty recognizable. Putting my hat and glasses on is only going to work to a certain extent.”

So, Bacon said, “I went to a special effects makeup artist, had consultations, and asked him to make me a prosthetic disguise.”

Per VF, he was outfitted with fake teeth, a slightly different nose and glasses. When he tested the look at outdoor Los Angeles shopping mall The Grove, “Nobody recognized me,” Bacon said. But the tide evidently soon turned. “People were kind of pushing past me, not being nice. Nobody said, ‘I love you.’ I had to wait in line to, I don’t know, buy a f***ing coffee or whatever. I was like, This sucks. I want to go back to being famous,” he told VF.

Incredible. Arguably the most self aware statement in the history of statements. I love how he just openly admits that being famous is a trillion times better than being a "regular person." Most celebrities would play coy, but not Kevin. OIe Ren-McCormack-head-ass is gonna give it to you straight...and guess what? Being famous rocks. Now to be fair, he's not exactly Taylor Swift, but he's definitely famous. Famous to the point where he had to wait in line for coffee ONE TIME and was so shook by the process that he brought up in an interview with Vanity Fair. God bless him.

I also have to agree him with him. In the minuscule amount of time that I've been barely in the public eye, I can honestly say that it's pretty sweet. Every once in a while someone says hi or buys me a beer. What's not to love about that? I have zero complaints. Anywho, I loved Kevin Bacon before and I love him even more now. You heard it here first, everyone should get famous. It's an awesome time.
