Troll God: "Jack From Oakland" Called Into Pardon My Take's Takeover Of Kentucky Sports Radio To Discuss Another Early UK Exit In The NCAA Tournament
Nobody trolls like the Pardon My Take crew. Nobody. During their annual Kentucky Sports Radio takeover yesterday, Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter were taking calls on the show, as they always do. And then, all of the sudden, a random guy named "Jack From Oakland" called into the show. Hmmmm. That's a coincidence. The topic of this conversation? Kentucky's early exit in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The conversation between the three guys on the air went as follows...
* Jack from Oakland calls in *
Mr. Commenter: Hey Jack, what's up, Jack?
Mr. Cat: What's going on?
Jack From Oakland: Hey guys, how you doing?
Mr. Cat: We're good. We're good. So Jack, we've been taking a little victory lap today because we, we called Coach Cal's firing eight years ago and he ended up getting fired. So I, you know, we know ball. It all kind of came to a head when they played in the tournament this year. I don't know, did you catch the game?
Jack From Oakland: I caught a little bit of it. I caught a little bit. Yeah.
Mr. Cat: So, so basically what happened was Cal has a great team and they go up against Oakland, and there's a guy on the other side, Jack Gohlke, who they just didn't guard, I don't know if you saw that at all. If you know ball at all, you would've guarded a guy like Jack Gohlke, right?
Jack From Oakland: I mean, yeah. Like you would think that a guy like, like me or, or him that's, that's really just stroking it like that, they would pick him up full pretty much.
Mr. Commenter: During the second half, were you surprised that they were still letting Jack Gohlke get these open looks?
Jack From Oakland: Yeah, it was kind of like, like I said, pick up full, deny every catch and, and just make it tough for him. Like, don't let, don't let him catch the ball. Don't let him get a shot up because you know the result is gonna come from that.
Mr. Commenter: Yeah. I mean, anybody that watched that who knows ball knew that you should guard Jack Gohlke and, you know, at, at this point, me and Big Cat mentioned in the first hour, but Jack Gohlke kind of could be responsible for the second coming of Kentucky, or I guess the third coming of Kentucky when they return to glory in the next five, 10 years. Do you think that Jack Gohlke should be present at whatever Kentucky's next banner ceremony is? Because he was the man that inspired Kentucky to make a change.
Jack From Oakland: I think they should definitely invite him. I hope he gets a warm welcome when they do bring him out and maybe even throw him some of that collective money.
I'll say it again. Nobody trolls like Big Cat and PFT. This exact setup is one of the many reasons why they are still the No. 1 sports podcast in the world. Thanks for calling in, Jack from Oakland!
