Olivia Cooke Says That She Filmed An "Animialistic" And "Messy As Fuck" Sex Scene That Was Cut From House Of The Dragon Season 2
Olivia Cooke discusses a sex scene that was ultimately cut from House of the Dragon.
The star of the HBO fantasy series, who plays Alicent Hightower, said she filmed an “animalistic” and “carnal” sex scene, which didn’t make the final cut.
“It was messy as fuck. It wasn’t beautiful, and that was really fun to do,” Cooke said in an interview with Elle. “I think Ryan [Condal, the showrunner] said we weren’t learning any more about the characters, which I disagree with slightly, but it’s okay. It’s his show.”
Listen, I don't know the first thing about House of the Dragon, Game of Thrones, or virtually any television series that gets a cult following. I had to put that as a disclaimer because if you want HotD lore in here, you won't get it. If you care to know, I'm more of a film buff myself. But I'd be damned if I tell you that I wouldn't tune in to see a sex scene that was animalistic, carnal, and messy as fuck. That's the type of work that would have guys like Tarantino, Scorsese, and Spielberg crack a smile for artistry. Pure cinema.
I've never heard of Olivia Cooke before reading this article, again because I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to the Targaryens or the Iron Throne, but I do know she'll have 10 million followers on Instagram in no time:
Isn't the Game of Thrones series just softcore porn for people who love film? Now they're suddenly scared of having a little sex? And wasn't there a leaker who somehow got access to every single backend file of the series including all the stuff that was cut? Where is he now?
I feel vastly unqualified to talk about this, but just know that over the next few months I'm going to commit to this series and find out what the hype is all about. See you then.
P.S. If this is what I have to learn then maybe I'm bowing out before I even start:
