Brad Stevens Is Truly Built Different After Hosting A Pre-Draft Workout Today On Zero Sleep Immediately After Winning The Title

As of today, the Celtics are officially on the journey to back to back NBA titles. Please take a minute and pinch yourself after reading that sentence. Yes, this is your life.

Well, a part of that journey is never being complacent. The Celts just completed one of the most dominant runs in NBA history, and what are they doing? Are they resting on their laurels and enjoying this historic achievement?

Hell no. Not this team. Not this franchise. When you're entire existence is about winning banners, the grind never stops.

You may remember this is exactly what Brad Stevens mentioned during this celebratory media hits last night

THAT IS MY GM BABY!!!!

The Celtics front office holding pre-draft workouts the day after they just won the NBA title while operating on zero sleep is the exact reason why this franchise is different. Other teams take a few days to celebrate and admire the job they just completed. But the Celtics? This front office? This is why Brad and Mike Zarren are living GOATs and why this franchise is positioned to contend for this title every season for the foreseeable future (barring health).

They are not complacent. They are still hungry. They are willing to scout players hung over as shit all in the name of Banner 19 (god this feels incredible to not type 18). It's not like the Celts have a lottery pick in this draft, they pick 54th. I sort of feel like whoever they take should get a pass because there's no chance everyone is sober right now watching these prospects go through their workout. Then again, it might not even matter. Brad Stevens already showed he can find diamonds in the 2nd round (see Jordan Walsh), and we're at the point now where I completely trust Brad Stevens with my life so whatever he decides to do is probably going to be the right decision. The man hasn't missed yet, and I don't expect that to change coming off a title on zero sleep.

If we've said it once we've said it a thousand times.

In Brad We Trust.
