Fighting In The Back Of A Moving Truck Is Seemingly The Newest Russian MMA Craze

MMA is just getting weirder and weirder these days with freakshow/circus fights. I'd say I don't know how they keep getting sanctioned, but I think the answer is very simple: Russia. From phone booth fights....

....to CarJitsu....

….to 50v50 fights on a battlefield….

….to crackhead vs dealer openweight fights….

….they've got it all. I don't know if all of those videos are actually from Russia, but c'mon - they probably are.

Here's the latest craze, though, courtesy of GAS FIGHT - highway box truck fighting….

If you're an old school wrestling fan, this may look familiar to you, as it's essentially a "King of the Road" match….

I can't imagine the rubbernecking this must cause, but I'd love to see the footage from inside the truck….and also what happens when they hit a speedbump/pothole. Can you plan strikes/submissions around stuff like that? Can you pop out of a tight guillotine with the right timing on a bump in the road?! Shoot a takedown on a turn for more momentum?

UFC is on right now, and I know not many are watching - but we've had some finishes so far and the fights haven't been half bad….

Tune in on ESPN+ if you're interested.
