Sound The Alarm! We Got The First Trailer For 'Receiver' And It's Exactly What Our Dumb Football Brains Need In The Summer

I was a big fan of Quarterback, perfect little series to knock out and be reminded that football is around the corner. It's no secret that July can drag on. We're past the NHL/NBA playoffs, we're in the heart of MLB season and some people (White Sox) are already eliminated. Yeah, we get the Olympics, Copa America and Euros this year. That helps. But we're football people at heart, we talk all offseason about how we can't wait for football again.

This is what our dumb brains need. A little tease of football to get us through a couple days. It gets us to the new Hard Knocks then the regular Hard Knocks. Right now all the football news is who didn't show up to mini camp, where the hell Aaron Rodgers might be, contract negotiations. Not exactly riveting stuff. So yeah let me knock out 8 episodes of Receiver. 

Don't love that we're getting two guys from the same team, even if it's a tight end and receiver. Would have done anything to have Stefon Diggs on this season, especially with everything that happened in Buffalo. Good news is they at least have some personality on this one with Justin Jefferson and for sure Amon-Ra St. Brown. Fitting for a receiver's personality that they want a dance to go viral, even if St. Brown is awesome and for sure cares about winning. 

I just wish they would break up the episodes. Give me 2 a week so we can spread this out. Give me something to look forward to when there's nothing on TV. I already know I'll binge watch all 8 in a day or two since I work from home and just have TV on in the background. Spare me the thing about waiting myself, I know who I am. I see 8 episodes, I'm gonna watch 8 episodes as fast as I can.
