You don't bring Charles Barkley on to have a nuanced take on a basketball game. Not one when he deems it over. That'd be pointless. We really want to hear Charles Barkley break down schemes? Absolutely not. I want to hear him talk about how it's pointless to even mention the game he's sitting there for. I want him to tell Grant Hill he's a coward and call Sam Mitchell 'one-legged Sam.' These are the important issues at hand here. 

This is why Charles Barkley is the biggest free agent in sports - or at least going to be. It doesn't matter what show he's on, he knows how to make it good. You can put him on hockey, golf, basketball, whatever, it doesn't matter. He doesn't need to talk about the sport, he can just shoot the shit and we'll all watch.
