THEY FUCKING DID IT!! FOR THE 3RD TIME IN THIS SERIES THE CELTICS RIPPED THE HEARTS OUT OF THE PACERS AND FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT TIME ON THEIR HOME FLOOR. HOLY SHIT.

I am once again bringing you this blog as a dead person. This fucking team man, they are going to kill us all, I am certain. Once again they found to way to win when things looked bleak. When it came time to digging deep and getting big stops and making big buckets, they delivered and then some. Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Jayson Tatum, JRUE HOLIDAY, they all put this team on their backs over the final 3-4 minutes to stamp their ticket back to the NBA Finals. I still have no idea how they pulled it off, I most definitely blacked out, but what matters is they pulled it off. It doesn't matter how you do it, what matters is you're the first to 4.

A perfect 6-0 on the road, 12-2 to start the postseason and another sweep to add to the Tatum/Brown era. They are now 13-2 as a duo in a playoff series in which they get to 3 wins. When it comes time to close, that's what this duo does. They close the series. No playing with their food, no giving the other team live and even a smidgen of belief that they could do something special. On the road, with only a sliver of hope late in the 4th quarter, the Boston Celtics executed the final kill. If that's not the sign of a championship team, what the hell is?

We also cannot overlook the Derrick White shot. This is what Bald Derrick was destined to do. Such a gigantic shot especially considering he had just missed the wide open look from he wing. Insane confidence and it was rewarded

And now, finally, the Celts have an opportunity to avenge the 2022 Finals loss. You could argue they are a Jayson Tatum sprained ankle away from 3 straight Finals. Do not take this team for granted, what we are witnessing is something truly special. None of that matters unless you win the title, but to win the title you first have to make the Finals. There's no guarantee that happens, so take a minute and appreciate what it means to be back in this moment.
