NFL Fans Chirping Patrick Mahomes For Showing Up To Camp As A Fat Guy Is A Tough Look For The Rest Of Us Normal People
This was posted yesterday and quite frankly it's just a bad visual. Tough for any guy who isn't completely jacked to wear a backpack. Pulls back in the wrong spots and creates this sort of visual. But basically every response was some variation of calling Patrick Mahomes fat or out of shape. Just some examples:
You get the point. It's all some sort of variation of this. Here's my thing. We can't do the Mahomes is fat narrative until he fully embraces it. This isn't fat. This is barely dad bod. This is the look of a man who is a quarterback in the NFL. Now, if it leads to Mahomes pounding ice cream, putting on 50 pounds and winning a Super Bowl while thick? Then I'm all for it. Instead all it's going to do is lead to the annoying dad bod talk. We've gone too far with it.
That leg tat though? Sure, we can make fun of that. But if one man gets caught with a bad visual who are the rest of us? Have some thought for us who need the right shirt to look normal or know how to walk in a crosswind so the shirt doesn't get stuck on the gut. Let Mahomes have his ice cream and beer. Until we get to Zion levels of debate, we gotta put an end to it. That or until Mahomes starts losing. If he loses, call him fat. That's fair game. Have some respect for the stomach game.
