Some NYC Facts In Honor Of The Biggest Day For The Knicks Since 2000

No team in New York City comes close to bringing the city together like the Knicks. When the Knicks are going good, every third person you pass by has Knicks gear on. I can't emphasize enough how little people here care about the Nets. They should move to Vegas or Seattle or somewhere people would give a shit about them.

This is the closest the Knicks have been to a NBA Finals since 2000. They've made it to this round twice before this century (2012-13 and last year) but never to a 7th game. Knicks fans were born, learned to read, learned to drive, finished high school and can buy a beer the last time they got this close.

With that being said, let's honor this hapless franchise with some NYC Facts:

You can't see it in the video but a block beyond where this video was shot is a giant Con Edison power plant. Huge wires and towers and all right on the water.

If you ever get a chance to go to Citi Field, it's worth going across the street to Flushing Meadows Park. It's where the Arthur Ashe Tennis Stadium is where the U.S.Open is played but it's also a giant park. The World's Fair was held there twice.

I found it interesting that Studio 54 building is now what it was intended to be: a Broadway theater.

I've spent a few years of my life in Queens and I had no idea Louis Armstrong lived here for so long. It blew my mind to see this jazz center on a residential block.
