Brian Windhorst Says Multiple NBA Execs Sent Him His Own "Now Why Is That?" Meme To Figure Out Why LeBron Went To The Cavs Game

So I know that's a 4 minute long video and I think it's pretty damn interesting if you have the means to take a listen, but if not, I'll summarize it for you:

- LeBron is always on time. LeBron purposefully entered the Cavs game last night at the first timeout so the entire crowd could see him do it, as well as the TV cameras

- When all the NBA Execs and multiple General Managers within the league saw that entrance, more than one of them texted Brian Windhorst his own "now why is that?" meme

- Windy immediately thought of the last time that LeBron came to watch a Cavs game, as a player on the Miami Heat attending Zydrunas Ilgauskas' jersey ceremony, and he signed with Cleveland just a few months later

- Windy was told that LeBron and the beautiful Ms. Savannah were visiting Akron for Mother's Day and simply stayed one extra day for the Cavs game....even though they knew damn well that this would blow up

- LeBron was a personal guest of Dan Gilbert last night, who rolled out the red carpet for him

- Rich Paul called the Lakers ahead of time and explained the situation

So there you have it. And I see all of the LeBron fans are out in full force on the internet this morning defending their self-proclaimed King's actions, saying he loves basketball and he wanted to catch a good basketball game. Wrong, wrong, WRONG. You guys all merely adopted LeBron James, I grew up with him. This is the corniest, yet most calculated, human being on the planet. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes his calculations turn into corny, dumbass decisions….but he plans them all out. And going to the Cavs game last night was no different.

I think it comes down to 3 reasons:

1. Make the entire world look at him when his basketball team is already eliminated. LeBron James NEVER misses the opportunity to be the center of attention, and when this opportunity presented itself, he decided it was the best possible idea and all his Yes-Men agreed with him. He specifically waited until the first timeout to enter the game. He alerted the Cavs early. They made him a welcome video. It was all Me, Me, Me since his team couldn't get him past the first round this year.

2. Send a message back to the Lakers that he CAN leave if he wants. To be clear, I don't think he wants to, and I don't think he will. But while everyone is reporting that same thing, he can't let the Lakers feel complacent that he's simply returning to that first round exit team. Shopping around, and attending a Cleveland Cavaliers game, was a direct message to the Lakers that he wants input on the head coach (although he says he doesn't) and better players surrounding him.

3. To remind the world that drafting Bronny could eventually bring LeBron Sr. to your franchise. Bronny is at the combine right now. The draft is coming up this summer. And while people are saying that drafting Bronny certainly doesn't mean LeBron drops everything to come to your franchise now, there's certainly no doubt they'll play together one day. Does it make the Lakers take him? Maybe. Does it make the Cavs take him? Maybe. Or does it make a team like the Pistons overreach and take him, hoping to cash in on a lottery ticket that is jersey sales for both him and his dad when they end up playing together? I don't know the answer, but attending the Cavs game certainly showed the world he's got more options than just going back to the Lakers, and anything they can do (like drafting Bronny), they should do.

Windhorst probably told those execs the whole Mother's Day story, but we know the truth. Look at me, and every franchise that thinks they have a shot at me should gut their future trying to get me to come there. The LeBron James Story.
