Diddy's Son Christian Combs Dropped A Diss Track Aimed at 50 Cent, Defending His Father

USA Today - Diss tracks are all the rage, and the latest installment comes from Sean "Diddy" Combs' son Christian "King" Combs.

On Sunday night, King Combs released a song titled "Pick a Side," which references federal agents' raid of Diddy's two homes in March and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's continuous social media posts on the Bad Boy Entertainment founder's recent legal trouble.

"Police raid the crib like they think we selling crack, but we out here selling tracks / Multimillion dollar plaques," the 26-year-old raps in one verse. In another verse referencing the raid, he raps: "Knock these doors down like them feddy boys running both our cribs / Too bad they ain't know we bought the one next door cause that's the one they missed."

Diverting his attention to 50 Cent, King Combs raps, "When all they had was 50 Cent who put this city on the map? Stop lyin'.

"Pops been hated on by many men and that's fine/ They gon' try to stop these M's and they gon' die tryin'," he continues, citing 50 Cent's song "Many Men" and album "Get Rich or Die Tryin.'"

Not a lot surprises me these days, but I have to admit, seeing 50 Cent go off on an Instagram tirade last night, and realizing it was because Puff Daddy's son released a diss track aimed at him surprised me.

One would think that, given the shitstorm that Diddy was in the middle of last month, if you had a brain, you would just stay fucking quiet.

The famous phrase "let sleeping dogs lie" comes to mind.

Nope. Not Puffy Combs and his son, King Combs.

King opens his track with aggressive bars, "I dare one of you ns to scream out ‘No Diddy’ … fk that na up!!!" -- and then answers the constant question about Diddy's whereabouts, "Asking where my pops at?/He on a G6 getting a lineup."

Bold.

On the song, King dismisses the federal raids as being off the mark, suggesting 50 Cent is the government's true prize …

50 Cent mockingly responded to the track all through Monday … claiming the threats made him fear for his life, but returned insults by bringing up King's ongoing lawsuit for sexual assault.

HipHopDX - King Combs was accused of sexual assault by Grace O’Marcaigh last month over claims he attacked her on a yacht during a family holiday in Saint Martin in 2022.

O’Marcaigh worked as a steward on the yacht and alleged that drinks on board the boat had been spiked. She accused King of becoming “violent” and “proceeded to kiss her neck, face, and hands” against her wishes.

In a separate incident, O’Marcaigh alleged that Combs tried to force her to perform oral sex on him in the yacht’s cinema.

She also claimed that Diddy paid a large sum of money to the ship’s crew to keep the incident quiet after she reported it to the ship’s captain.

On this post, 50 is right. How fucking dumb are you?

That was in reference to these lyrics Combs raps in the song-

“Knock them walls down like when them feddy boys ran in both of our cribs/ Too bad they ain’t know we ’bout to run next door ’cause that’s the one they missed.”

If you're under investigation (debatable) why on Earth would you say this on record, nevermind on a rap song you're putting out to be heard by the public?

In terms of the Keefe D comment, that was a callback. 50 Cent has been screaming from the rooftops for a while now that Diddy was behind the murder of Tupac.

This entire thing has my mind blown.

At the best possible time for Diddy, the entire Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef kicked into overdrive and completely took the spotlight and heat off Diddy. Everybody seemed to forget all about the coordinated sting at his Miami and NYC residences and the swirling allegations surrounding him and become focused on what Drake and Kendrick were firing at each other.

It was almost too perfect an answer to somebody's prayers who needed a distraction.

But it seems like that's the issue. Good or bad, (or horrific), Diddy just can't stay out of the spotlight. He feeds off it. And even if it means getting his son involved to fight his battles, then so be it.

Giphy Images.

Either way, I really can't think of somebody worse to pick a fight with lyrically than 50 Cent. Maybe Eminem? I don't think there's a quicker way to have your career ended than to get on his bad side.

Just ask Ja Rule, The Game, and Young Buck. Fat Joe and Rick Ross are two of the only ones to survive having beef with him and that's because 50 basically let them both off the hook. Not the case with the other three.

p.s. - 50 Cent blaming the Knicks getting blown out on Ja Rule is why he is the best. Only guy I know who holds onto grudges longer than Portnoy.
