Ben Simmons Looked Handsome As Heck At The Met Gala Last Night. Find A New Slant

Credit to Ben Simmons. This man got everything that he ever wanted out of life. Millions and millions of dollars, the ability to be within close proximity to a bunch of famous people, and he doesn't even have to play basketball anymore.

Imagine how much his life would suck if he were stuck on a team that has a legitimate chance to make a run at the NBA Championship. He'd still have another month of basketball left to play. He'd have to spend his Monday night somewhere disgusting like Oklahoma City instead of on the red carpet.

Here's the thing--there can only ever be like…5 guys at one time in the conversation for being the best basketball player on the planet. Everybody else is getting forgotten about at one point or another. So if you're not going to be one of those 5 guys constantly in the conversation, then why not make the most out of being a professional athlete while you still can? Everybody else is going to forget your career anyway.

All I'm saying is that enough time has passed that I'm happy it all worked out for Ben Simmons. This was the perfect trade for him and his career. No reason or pressure to actually play. All the celebrity access in the world. This was the career he was destined for. It's just great to see it all play out for him.
