Philly Is Dead As A Serious Sports Town - Sixers Bought 2,000 Tickets For Game 6 Because They Are Terrified Of Knicks Fans Overtaking Wells Fargo
First off, credit the Knicks and Knicks fans. We're the reason these first responders, healthcare professionals and local businesses are getting tickets. Without us, this wouldn't happen. We all deserve a big shout out for being the heroes to help these people.
Second, calling this pathetic would be a compliment. Philly is dead as a serious sports town. Everything we've ever known about the city is dead, just like York being the true first capital of the United States. People don't forget history! But back to sports here, everyone loves to talk about big bad Philly fans. They boo children, they attack Santa and everything else. If you even say the word of an opposing team you're going to get the shit kicked out of you.
And now to this? Having to buy 2,000 tickets because you're scared of Knicks fans overtaking your arena again? Sad. That's the only way I can describe it. It's sad. The price is the same for Knicks fans as Sixers fans and if you're a true Philly fan you wouldn't dare let any opposing fan buy a ticket. We're talking about the playoffs here! We're talking about an elimination game and your ownership group has to buy 2,000 tickets just to try and play it safe.
This is really what it comes down to for Sixers fans. They aren't showing up for their team. Owners have to buy tickets and hand them out. It's basically the same as Goodell hiding boos when he brings guys out for the Draft. Just know everything that has ever been said about Philly as a sports town is now dead. A real diehard fanbase wouldn't let this happen.
