We Need Videos From Every NFL Draft War Room After Watching How The Jets Dealt With Atlanta Taking Michael Penix And Traded With Minnesota
I'm a full on sucker for these types of videos. Every year following the Draft, I look for all these videos to come out. I want to see how war rooms actually work outside of Draft Day. I want to see the discussions, I want to see all the reactions, which makes it bullshit that they cut the video off before it was announced Atlanta took Michael Penix. We need video from every Draft room after that pick. It would dominate the Internet and everyone knows we live in a pageviews world.
Now we have these two videos. The first being Atlanta trying to trade back up to 10, which is something they've talked about since draft night. They wanted Laiatu Latu from UCLA. They tried to pull a Texans move and do the quarterback/defensive selection like they did a year ago when the Texans took CJ Stroud 2nd and then traded back up for Will Anderson. Problem is the Texans had a bunch of draft capital to trade, the Falcons don't.
Knowing that makes this video from Indy funnier:
Sometimes shit just works out for you in the Draft. It's the beauty of the stupidity of it all. Sometimes you can just sit there, teams pass on a guy, reach for a pick, whatever and you end up with the person you wanted all along. The other video is the trade with Minnesota. That shit gets my nerd boner up. The negotiation, how quick they have to move and accept a trade and then the reaction. Of course they felt like they won the trade. Every team thinks they won the trade on Draft day.
But the fact is it's 2024. Give us a video of the war rooms at all times. Put it out right after the Draft, so no one has get an advantage. Let the common folk see the debates, the picks, the trades. I want to see it unfold. I want to see teams fail to make a trade and try to negotiate. Let's see what's real and what's bullshit.
