Gas Station Hot Dogs Deserve So Much More Respect After They Literally Saved This Man's Life
Mother nature can be a terrifying bitch sometimes. At any given moment the weather can turn and completely flip your entire life upside down. Unfortunately for so many people in Oklahoma and Nebraska over the past few days, they are currently picking up those pieces of their life and trying to start anew after destructive tornadoes came through and completely leveled their homes.
Tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, it's all some brutally devastating shit that doesn't discriminate based on who you are or what you do. You live your life the right way, try to be a great person, and a catastrophic weather event can still get you.
But fortunately for this Omaha man, the tornado didn't come tearing through his home while he was in it. Because he was out at the gas station picking up some hot dogs.
Gas station glizzies, man. This man still woke up this morning because of gas station hot dogs. Life works in mysterious ways.
And you want to know something? Gas station hot dogs don't get nearly the amount of love and respect that they deserve. I'm not saying your local Sunoco needs to be receiving a Michelin Star or anything like that, but there may never be a more perfect cooking appliance made than the hot dog roller.
Grilling a hot dog is great. Pan frying is perfectly acceptable in a pinch. You want to just throw the dogs in the oven? Be my guest.
But nothing, and I mean NOTHING, has ever come close to being able to evenly cook a glizzy to perfection quite like the roller. You got some pimple-faced 16-year-old kid working the cash register, he turns on the machine in the morning, and by the time lunch rolls around you have 20 perfectly cooked dogs just waiting for the masses. Yet you hardly ever see anybody get them. I feel like I see heathens get more gas station sushi than I see gas station dogs. It's lunacy.
But now that gas station dogs are quite literally saving American lives? All I'm saying is the next time you're in a gas station, treat yourself to a glizzy. Because you just never know if that dog is going to be the dog that saves your life.
