A Tale As Old As Time: LeBron Chokes In The Playoffs, Immediately Starts His Own Circus About Leaving The Lakers And Playing Somewhere Else

Oh come on. I shouldn't be annoyed by this, it's the go-to response and what we're used to seeing here. But give me a goddamn break. The whole circus starting about whether or not LeBron is going to another team the moment the Lakers choke in the playoffs? It's nauseating. Look at the smile, look at the fact he gets up and leaves right after. LeBron knows exactly what he's doing here. The man has been around long enough to know how the game is played. He gives this open-ended answer, everyone spends days, if not weeks, speculating where LeBron will play next, rinse and repeat.

Hell you could make the case the circus started before the Lakers choked away another game and lost the series last night:

Start planting the seeds, get asked the questions, drop the whole line about not knowing and then leave. We all know it's going to come down to someone taking Bronny James and if he plays with him. Recruit Bronny, get LeBron.

Do you know how easy it is to answer 'season just ended, I'll sit down and evaluate all options, I have the player option and we'll go from there.' That's, you know, a logical answer instead of 'I'm not gonna answer that.' LeBron has been around forever, he knows what he's doing.

The whole concept of LeBron doing this was fun the first time. It was new. Sure, we could get our jokes off about him being a quitter on the Cavs. But now you're trying to run the same play for the 4th time? It's old. It's played out. No one gives a shit about the circus anymore. Just tell us if you're opting in to play for the Lakers again or if you're doing the free agent shit.

Hilarious that LeBron is ready to quit on the Lakers, contemplate giving up basketball completely all because of these two

One dude who just hits game-winner after game-winner and the best player in the world. The best player in the world also happens to be the most unserious player, just having a good ole time sprinting around and making up plays as he goes.

Oh and make no mistake, the Lakers choked here. The Nuggets are the better team, but the Lakers had how many leads? How many times did they blow a game? That's a choke. All you had to do was maintain composure and have some resemblance of knowing how to close a game and maybe you're still playing. But, hey, congrats on the in-season Tournament and that 1 playoff win. Job well done.
