Leave Gisele Alone

NY Post - Gisele Bündchen broke down in tears during a traffic stop in Miami-Dade County after claiming the paparazzi had been “stalking” her and tailing her car, bodycam footage showed.

The supermodel, 43, was driving in Surfside, Fla., on Wednesday when a police officer pulled over her Mercedes G-Wagon.

In released bodycam footage, the ex-wife of former NFL star Tom Brady can be seen getting visibly upset during an exchange with an officer who stopped her vehicle.

Bad paparazzi. Stop it. Don't do that. Don't make that woman cry. She's just trying to live her life and date her hot jiu-jitsu instructor in peace.

I'm sure the paparazzi who chased Gisele Bundchen down in her car and made her cry will read this blog and think, "You know what, John Rich from Barstool Sports is right. I'm going to hang up the lens, stop harassing celebrities, and put finally put my liberal arts degree to the test"

That's what'll happen... I always want to come out and flame paparazzi for being scum of the earth pieces of shit leaches who stalk famous people who are just trying to go about their day and blah blah blah etc. etc. etc. But then I remember I work for Barstool Sports. I'm literally capitalizing off what this paparazzo did to Gisele at this very moment.

"Hey! How dare you make that poor woman cry! Nobody cares what she's doing! Here are 800 words about it" - Me

It's a bit of a pot meet kettle/glass houses throwing stones situation. Especially considering the amount of shit Barstool talks about celebrities on a daily basis. But still, it's gotta be exhausting for Gisele to be constantly followed like that. I've at least never stalked anyone (except for Ben Mintz and Will Compton, but that was different).

Gisele is close to #1 on the list of celebrities I see pictures of in the tabloids accompanied by stories about them doing absolutely nothing of note.

- Gisele Bundchen seen leaving local hair salon with shorter hair

- Gisele Bundchen caught red-handed picking up her children from daycare

- Gisele Bundchen sighted in Miami wearing pants

Which is kind of bizarre to me. I know she's an international super model who's fresh off a divorce with the greatest quarterback in NFL history. But when it comes to celebrities who's lives I care to hear about she's nowhere near the top of my list. I understand celebrities the likes of Kanye West. If tomorrow Kanye leaves Yeezy Headquarters wearing a sombrero with a swastika on the front, I wouldn't mind seeing that picture. I couldn't care less about what Gisele is doing though. I know I'm probably just not the demographic, but I've always felt like she got a disproportionate amount of attention from the paparazzi.

The video of Gisele crying in itself is kind of sad. I don't necessarily want to post it directly in this blog, but you can see it if you follow the link. I know on some level it's part of the deal when you're a gorgeous celebrity worth hundreds of millions of dollars. But to be followed in a car though has to be pretty unsettling. Even if she knows it's just some asshole with a camera who wants to snap a photo of her (as opposed to trying to murder her). I know they're just trying to make a quick hundred bucks. Or a thousand bucks. Or a million bucks. I have no idea what the candid celeb photo market is like nowadays. But they're too damn aggressive. Stalking people for a career is just a bizarre way to live your life.

It pays the bills though. At least for the good ones. But maybe back off Gisele a bit guys. Just to be nice. A $400 million dollar net worth doesn't give you the right to torment her. Maybe once she gets to $500 million then we can talk. If she ever hits $1B then have at it.

Also, be careful out there paparazzi. Especially if it's a full moon. If you watched the latest season of Black Mirror, then you know that during a full moon celebrities are liable to turn into werewolves and eat your faces off (what a stupid fucking episode that was).
