The Sixers May Have A Losing Attitude, But Everybody Else Can Shut The Fuck Up About It
Out of every thing that happened last night, this was by far the worse. Perhaps the worst look of Joel Embiid's career. Far worse than crying his eyes out after game 7 vs Toronto. Here you have the face of the franchise refusing to actually face the media, and talking a whole bunch of "shoulda, coulda, woulda". Head down, sulking, making excuse after excuse. It's a microcosm of everything that is wrong with this Sixers team. All they know is a culture of losing, yet they just expect to go out there and win. Other teams want it more, but the Sixers think they can just get by on "deserving" it more. They don't deserve anything, and they sure as shit don't deserve to be up 2-0 in this series right now.
Now all of that aside...
Reags can shut the fuck up.
Sure, I absolutely despise the fact that the Sixers are filing a grievance with the NBA. Like I just said, the Sixers didn't lose that game because of the refs. They lost it because the Knicks simply wanted it more. Name one time when the Sixers came back and won a gritty playoff game based purely on their drive and determination to win. It never happens to the Sixers, it only ever happens against them. But I'm allowed to say that shit. Sixers fans are allowed to say that shit.
But when Reags spends a full week having a meltdown about a dude from HGTV saying mean things about Kentucky basketball? Well you don't get to talk shit about the Sixers' loser culture after that. You've relegated all rights to talk about how much of a loser operation another basketball team runs.
Nicky Smokes can shut the fuck up. Here's a guy who will be knuckles deep in some poor dude's daughter at the club less than 15 minutes after suffering the most heartbreaking loss of his sports life.
Greenie can shut the fuck up. I'd have to go back and look at the numbers, but I'm almost certain he has written an even amount of Sixers blogs as Celtics blogs in his career. I've never seen a more in-the-closet Sixers fan in my life.
The Sixers are assholes. That's as clear as the day is long. I hate the culture they've established for themselves, and I think they represent Philadelphia horribly. But if everybody else is going to continue talking shit? Well then I have no other option but to support the shit out of this godforsaken team and make sure we shove it all the way up their hoops once they come back and win this series in 7. Sandpaper finish, no lube.
