Build Andrea Hurley A Statue: "0 Percent Chance" Dan Hurley Would Leave UConn For Kentucky, Even For $20 Million Per Year

Poor one out for the Bluegrass State....Dan Hurley is staying put.

After embarrassing themselves on Twitter since Sunday night, BEGGING Dan Hurley to come to Kentucky, Big Blue Nation is down BAD.

I'll be completely honest, as a UConn fan I was NERVOUS. Money talks and the future of college sports will be much more SEC/Big Ten than Big East. That being said, these tweets? Pathetic:

Grant even went on to brag about the Saudi's having farmland in Kentucky?!?!?

And then there was Tuesday night…..an endless stream of tweets from Kentucky fans discussing the attendance at UConn's welcome back (it was a 8:30 on a Tuesday, people were still coming back from Phoenix, and it was told to be a student only event):

Please Danny come to our party. We have sooooo many people at our party Danny. PLEASE DANNY. WE NEED YOU PLEASE. Look at this party we threw in 2012!

In all seriousness, this is a MASSIVE victory for UConn. UNC and Duke hire from within. There's always a chance that Kansas comes open, but Kentucky was the #1 job to be worried about. They have huge resources in the NIL era. Money isn't everything though. Especially when it comes to somebody like Dan Hurley, who values the Northeast so highly. He is Jersey City through and through.

The ultimate savior for UConn? Outside of the incoming contract extension for Hurley? Andrea Hurley. The absolute GOAT. She's been clear she doesn't want to move past New Jersey. What Hurley said on Monday night about not wanting to get a divorce was more truth than joke.

Now, the future of Dan Hurley is at UConn….unless the NBA comes calling. I wonder if the Brooklyn Nets opening will cause any issues this summer. We'll see.
