Jack Jones is Ripping Patriots Fans. And Yes, We are Entirely to Blame for His NE Career Going Up in Flames

Some guys are just built differently. 

If your average highly-regarded NFL prospect sees himself fall into the 4th round over character concerns due to the fact he got suspended from the two programs he played for (with a stop at a Juco in between), then was released by the team that drafted him before he got to the end of his second season, he'd be happy to get picked up by anybody. Much less get to live and play in Las Vegas. So you'd assume a player lugging around so much baggage, accumulated before he even turned 26, would just more or less lie low, keep his head down, and hope he can hold onto his job this time around. 

Jack Jones is the exception. Sure, he took a flamethrower to every opportunity he was given in New England. But that hasn't stopped him from correctly identifying the true source of his problems. Patriots fans. 

Yyyyup. He's got us. It's all our fault. Guilty as charged. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. 

He correctly points out we think we run the world, even though can't play pro football:

That we're responsible for Mac Jones' decline:

And that negativity toward Mac Jones is also responsible for us mistakenly thinking Jack Jones had a loaded firearm at Logan Airport.

And not, you know, the fact that he got arrested for having a loaded firearm at Logan Airport. Was criminally charged for having a loaded firearm at Logan Airport. And later plead guilty to carrying a loaded firearm at Logan Airport. 

So that's on us. We've all got to raise our hand to that one. Mistakes were made. We failed in our duty to not believe everything that a defendant says under oath as he's pleading out a criminal case. 

Of course, were I a cynical man, I'd point out that the people of New England really didn't give a rat's taint about the fact that Jack Jones ran into problems at Arizona State and USC. We were just ecstatic that Bill Belichick hit pay dirt with the 121 pick in the 2022 draft and it looked like he'd found the cornerback of the future after losing Stephon Gilmore. But then came the suspension at the end of his rookie season:

But hey, that was water under the bridge once the season was over. He'd paid his debt to his team and society, and bygones were bygones. All he had to do was straighten up and fly right and get ready for the coveted Year 2 Jump. Until he didn't make it to the third week of camp without getting booted out of practice:

So kudos to him for putting the full responsibility for everything that went wrong in his brief Pats career squarely where it belongs. With everybody not named Jack Jones. I think I speak for Patriots fans everywhere when I say we humbly regret all our actions. We're sorry we got him suspended from ASU, kicked off the Trojans, suspended as a rookie, arrested on weapons charges, and finally released. We've learned the error of our ways and hope to be more mature, responsible, and accountable for our actions in the future. We've obviously got a lot of growing up to do.
