Purdue Fans On Campus Are Quickly Learning How To Properly Celebrate Winning Final Four Games
Listen, it's still Purdue here. We're not talking about a top tier party school. We're not talking about a school who knows what they are doing in this situation. But at least we have one. We have one person on a stop light, the way it's supposed to be. Fireworks? Sure. Frankly I need more mayhem. Maybe they are saving it for Monday night, but Purdue doesn't know what to do there. Not like they've been in this position before. I figured they'd leave it all on the streets tonight, even if it's early. You can't wait to celebrate. You don't know if a win is coming, hell just look at this same school a year ago.
But this is about adapting on the fly. I don't expect to see the same that we saw with Texas Tech or Auburn or a school like that, but we need more people on stop lights. Get to the point where the school has to be concerned about greasing the poles on Monday. You're in school once (for the most part), you just won a Final Four game. I'll never knock someone for celebrating, we need more of it in sports. It's basically my Billy Madison stay in school as long as you can moment. Fucking go nuts, who cares if people say oh you're a 1 seed playing an 11 seed and were favored by nearly double digits. You're still a college kid at Purdue, you're used to losing to double digit seeds.
That said, gotta find a better way to party. Again, I've been to and through West Lafayette, need a little more mayhem than this. Need more than one guy up there. Start celebrating now and don't stop until tip on Monday. Class doesn't matter, even at Purdue.
