CBB IN 60 PRESENTED BY EXPRESS: UConn, Alabama, NC State, And Purdue Are Heading To The Final Four

Hello, basketball fans! It’s time for another edition of CBB in 60 presented by Express.

The 2024 Final Four is set! UConn, Alabama, NC State, and Purdue will all be heading to Phoenix later this week, with the dream of a National Championship still alive.

The Connecticut Huskies: an absolutely DOMINANT performance on Saturday against Illinois. The defending champs were up just five at half, but a 30-0 run in the blink of an eye quickly shut the door, and it sends Dan Hurley’s crew to the biggest stage in college basketball for the second straight year.

The Alabama Crimson Tide: congratulations to Nate Oats, on leading this school to the Final Four for the first time in school history. They did it through their most valuable weapon: the 3-point shot, 16 made from downtown in the win over Clemson. It’ll be UConn and Alabama facing off with the right to play on Monday night.

Let’s shift over to the other side of the bracket, where the NC State Wolfpack are heading to the Final Four! One of the most remarkable March runs that we have ever seen in this sport. DJ Burns and crew knocked out in-state rival Duke after an electric second half, and a team that needed a buzzer beater prayer to avoid getting sent home in the ACC semifinals, is just two wins away from winning it all. Wild.

Finally, the Purdue Boilermakers redemption tour has one more stop. Zach Eddy led the way with 40 points in a great win over Tennessee. After losing to a 16 seed last year, Purdue is just two wins away from doing what Virginia did in 2019: win it all the next year.
