'If He Blocks 100, He Blocks 100' - Brad Underwood Openly Admitting The Dumbass Plan For Illinois, Right Before UConn Went On A 30-0(!!!) Run
I personally like Brad Underwood, think he's a hell of a coach, entertaining all that stuff. But, uh, maybe switch it up? You can't keep saying we're going to attack Donovan Clingan when you quite literally can't score. That wasn't hyperbolic or anything like that. A 30-0 run! That's almost impossible to do without having 5 guys on the floor in the Elite Eight. It's not even like Illinois is some scrub team here too. They are one of the elite offenses in the country!
But hey, any time you can keep driving directly at Donovan Clingan while not making layups or getting him in foul trouble you simply have to. Even more shocking is the game was tied 23-23 at one point. There was a shot we actually got to see UConn in a close game in the Tournament. Instead we got another 30 point game.
To call this game an ass kicking would be a legit compliment to Illinois. That's how bad it was. It's also how damn good this UConn team is. Wagon, legendary, iconic, whatever you want to use, it works. You don't see a title team come back the next year, replace 3 key guys and look better. Yet here we are. Another Final Four without a team even making them break a sweat. I don't know though, maybe don't keep driving right at Clingan.
