There Have Been At Least 7 Incidents Of Women In NYC On TikTok Saying They Got Punched In The Face In The Last 24 Hours

I, like everyone else on the internet, saw the one viral TikTok of NYC influencer Halley Kate getting punched in the face just from walking on the street. It has 40 MILLION views and has been everywhere in the last 24 hours. I figured this was probably just a one-off freak accident that you are unfortunately susceptible to in a cesspool city like NYC. I've lived here for 6 years and the decline is real, but that may just be the lack of wifi in the NYC office. Anyway, nope. Turns out there's at least 7 women who have been punched in the last 24 hours from what we have no choice but to call a serial puncher:

If you read the comments of that post, you'll see a lot of people who recount their experiences with the same sorta shit. This is a question better suited for a megamind politician brain like Dante, but what exactly are the citizens of NYC supposed to do in situations like this? Wait for Batman? I don't know the answer, but maybe it's just send ImNotClip after whoever is doing this:

Even walking to the office today felt like everyone was walking on eggshells. Ironically the area in question of the assaults is partially in Chelsea, which happens to be the home of Barstool HQ! Normally you'll see a bunch of people, men and women, glued to their phones looking down with a high probability of bumping into you. This morning? No phones, just vibes. Head up, shoulder up, posture like you've never seen before. Just another day in the concrete jungle baby.
