I Interviewed Brandon Walker, A Man Who Was An Overnight Success (20 Years In The Making)

It was incredible the high volume of angry mob members that came out of the woodwork when I announced that Brandon would be interviewed on my show. I think the expectation was that I would corner the guy and confront him about his distaste for Michigan football. We're in a different era for Chris Castellani. Maybe I would've done something like that in the past, but Michigan just won the national championship. We're cruising. With that said, it was still a lot of fun to fuck with Brandon and shoot the shit for about an hour.

Not to fluff the guy up too much, but I feel like one of the big strengths that Brandon Walker has is that he's capable of having chemistry with basically anybody that he does podcasts with. I like Brandon a lot, and I think he likes me(?), but I'm not going to act like we've done a whole lot of content together outside of a few trivia matches against each other, including the first match I ever played where I wiped the floor with him. We don't have to talk about that right now. You rarely get Chris Castellani in a spot where he feels comfortable, but I feel comfortable doing the show.

One of the coolest things about this company is that many of the people hired here got here through some pretty incredible journeys. I'm really proud of the fact that I was plucked out of obscurity from the gas station, but I was only 25 when Dave found me. For somebody like Brandon who grinded forever while simultaneously having a family to support really is a pretty incredible story. I know some people don't like the whole "Barstool person Interviews Barstool people" angle, but I think every person at this company has an interesting backstory. I had a great time diving into Brandon's.
