Shohei Ohtani Finally Revealed Who His Wife Is, The Entire World Figures Out She's A Former Pro Basketball Player With An Awesome Highlight Reel

I sort of love how Shohei Ohtani just drops news on Instagram. He doesn't bother going to press conferences or anything like that. Change teams? Instagram post. Announce he's now married to someone who describes as a 'normal Japanese woman'? Sure, post that. And now we finally found out who she is. It's honestly somewhat insane it took this long considering we live in the year 2024 and people find info basically 30 seconds after it's announced.

But his wife is Mamako Tanaka. 

She's not regular, she's a former pro basketball player in Japan! How do we know? Oh this little highlight reel 

Look at those fundamentals! We're talking a pump fake right off the bat to lead into a jumper. Beautiful. Footwork to stay behind the line like a pro's pro. No doubt in my mind she'd be a key part in hitting 41 free throws in a row. I'm talking BEEF folks. You remember that? Balance, eyes, elbow, follow through. You get that down and you're a decent shooter. It doesn't even matter the style of game for Mamiko though. 5-on-5 and 3-on-3? She's gonna go get you a bucket if she has to. Inside-out threat too. All I know is if they ever have a kid, that kid is going to be fucking awesome in sports. You have a mom who played pro basketball and a dad who can win Cy Young and hit 50 homers in a season? You better be awesome at something. I don't even care what sport that future kid ends up playing, I'm just going to work under the assumption they'll go pro in it. 

What a reveal though. You had everyone wondering who you married, when would we find out who she is. Not only did we find out, but you just don't mention she's a bucket getter.
