One of the biggest questions of the off-season has been answered as the Buccaneers are bringing back Baker Mayfield on a 3-year $100 million dollar deal that can reach up to $115 million with incentives. Mayfield was a coveted free agent as the NFL's crown jewel position and was going to have several suitors if he made it to free agency. But that won't happen after this news broke today.

"I'm happy to be here and I want to win more in the postseason." Damn I love to hear that! Baker came to Tampa last year as a flier. A 1-year $4 million dollar deal for a chance to compete to be the starting Quarterback to follow up Buccaneers legend, Tom Brady. Baker and the Bucs started strong, going 3-1 to start the season, but went on to lose 6 of their next 7 games. But one astute football guy who grinds tape saw the starts aligning on this early.

Baker's deal is also quite reasonable for a position that tends to clog the salary cap.

Looking at where that ranks vs. other NFL QB's average per year, it's 15th right now. That's before Kirk Cousins' free agent deal will likely surpass him making him the 16th highest paid Quarterback out of 32 NFL teams.

Now the Bucs have brought back their two key free agents on the Offensive side in Mike Evans and Baker Mayfield and appear primed to run it back, looking for a fourth consecutive NFC South title.
