Oh No, The Cardinals Still Haven't Learned - Decide To Tweet Out That Kyler Murray Is Their Franchise QB Right Before The Combine
I'm not here to say you can't win with Kyler Murray. I'm here to remind the Cardinals this is something they shouldn't do. Remember this?
Nearly 5 years to the day and they just tweeted it again! Sure, Kyler Murray isn't Josh Rosen, he's significantly better. But you can't do this just to take down rumors that you're moving on from Kyler. You can't do this when you're the Cardinals. Everyone is just bombarding them with the Josh Rosen tweet. Everyone is just making fun of them for being one of the most insignificant franchises in the NFL. Not like they have some great history they can scream about or anything like that.
I get it, trust me, I'm cheering for a team that has Daniel fucking Jones running around back there. You want to move on from a quarterback, but you win some games that cost you a chance to do just that. Everyone is basically saying the same thing. There are 3 top tier quarterbacks in this draft and the Cardinals have the 4th pick. Maybe Gannon doesn't want Kyler anymore, who the fuck knows. But the lesson as always is you can't tweet out something like this right before the combine when you have that Josh Rosen tweet sitting right there.
I'm sure there's something cryptic here too. Teams don't just tweet this out for no reason besides to rile people up. I simply, you know, wouldn't do it. Don't tell everyone you have QB1 even if everyone knows you want to draft Marvin Harrison Jr. I'm pretty sure any team that has tweeted something like this, it never ended well. You're not doing this for Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, etc.
Speaking of the Combine, watch the more entertaining one here:
