Jake DeBrusk's Dad Louie Challenged Him To A Goal, Assist Or 30 Push Ups Pregame... And DeBrusk Ended Up Cashing In With A Goal While His Dad Commentated Between The Benches
Safe to say Jake DeBrusk hates pushups. Louie DeBrusk, Jake's father was working between the benches for Sportsnet tonight and tried to cash an old coupon and challenged Jake to record a goal or an assist or he'd have to do 30 push ups. JD came through in the 2nd period with a goal and was able to have his dad commentate it as well. Just such an awesome wholesome moment with Jake back in his hometown and scoring his first goal in nearly 10 games. With the injury bug starting to plague the B's, JD is gonna be an important part of this stretch to the playoffs. Despite DeBrusk's play, the Bruins did end up fumbling a 3 goal lead but Charlie McAvoy came through in OT to give the boys their 2nd straight win. It's never easy with this team lately but hopefully this gets them going with Calgary tonight and Vancouver on Saturday. Matt Grzelcyk exited the game with a lower body injury, Hampus Lindholm left Saturday's game with a lower body injury (week to week), so we'll see if more reinforcements head out west.
What a finish from 73.
B's have some momentum here and they're right back at it tonight against Calgary. Might need Louie DeBrusk to challenge his Jake every game.
