The Rock Calls Salt Lake City A Buncha Inbred Trailer Park Trash In His First Heel Promo On SmackDown In Years

Roman Reigns and The Rock just headlined SmackDown together in a great segment - their first together since aligning at the WrestleMania press conference in Las Vegas last week - where Salt Lake City just got torn to shreds the whole time.

Roman came out first, made everyone acknowledge him (duh), and announced that tonight would be the first night The Rock could be officially considered part of The Bloodline.

Then came The Rock, dressed in a Versace vest reminiscent of some of the crazy $500 shirts he used to wear back in the day....

....and he just played that crowd like a fiddle. He built up this big attendance record they broke that night, and had them cheering for a second - and then flipped and told them they broke the record for being the largest group of trailer park trash he's ever seen.

He mocked 'em for forcing Cody Rhodes into the main event of WrestleMania....

He called the audience everything from ignorant bitches to idiots with 50 wives, and even reminisced on Michael Jordan ruining all of the Utah Jazz's hopes and dreams (hilarious) - and then dropped a pretty cold line to end the show: "IF YA SMMMEEELLLLLLLLL….WHAT THE BLOODLINE IS COOKING"

Heel Rock is all the way back and I'm so here for it. This is way better than the usual happy-to-be-back Rock we've gotten in recent years, and even just this visual rules….

It seems like The Rock/Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes/Seth Rollins in a tag team match on Night 1 of WrestleMania and then Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns for the championship on Night 2 is the direction they're going, but the Road to WrestleMania is just getting started - so that could of course change in an instant.

It'd make a lot of sense, though, and I'm sure The Rock would cost Roman the match against Cody one way or another on Night 2 - setting the stage of their future match perfectly. Plus, this SuperBowl commercial kinda gives the main events away….

(That didn't actually air during the SuperBowl, they just dropped it on social media during the SuperBowl)

We'll have a new episode of From The Top Rope for ya covering all of this tomorrow….
