Georgia +7 Was A Brutal Beat, Especially After Starting The Game 17-2 And Being Up 14 At The Half
Talk about a swing of emotions, and a swing of momentum. There's 40 minutes in a game, and they say it ain't over til it's over and my God was that proven right tonight. Alabama couldn't do a damn thing in the first half, hell their bad luck started before the game.
Players stuck in an elevator like this is a damn sitcom ... I thought the SEC meant more? Can't we find better and safer places for players to stay on the road?
Elevator shenanigans weren't the only issue for the Tide.
Davin Cosby missed the game via the flu.
And Nick Pringle was suspended for the second time this season.
I really hope this was stuff like missing class or not reading a scouting report. I'll just say that.
Anyway, things were just as bad on the court as Bama couldn't hit shit (2-11 from 3) while it seemed like Georgia got every rebound in the gym, and shot the lights out. Absolutely as bad as a half as it can get.
However … never doubt the Tide, and never doubt a great coach like Nate Oats. Adjustments were made … and boy were they made.
Bama absolutely dominated the 2nd half with a 58 point effort, and absolutely crushed Georgia bettors. Especially the fact that with 2:06 Georgia was down 2, and scored just 3 points the rest of the way.
Even as a Bama fan and a Bama backer your heart has to break for Georgia. Just the worst possible time to go cold, and the worst possible way to not cover. But on the other hand … the saying goes … good teams win … great teams cover.
Last note … absolute JOKE Mark Sears wasn't on The Cousy List … and he's clearly taking it personally.
ROLL TIDE
