A Brazilian Man Was Shot In The Head Yet SOMEHOW Went On To Party For 4 Days With The Bullet Lodged In His Brain

NDTV- A 21-year-old Brazilian man was stunned after finding a bullet lodged in his head after thinking he was hit by a stone during a New Year's Eve party. According to the New York Post, Mateus Facio was partying at a beach in Rio de Janeiro when he felt an object hit him, but he shrugged it when his head stopped bleeding. For the next four days, Mr Facio continued partying with friends without the faintest idea of the severity of his situation.

"Little did I know that all this would happen," the 21-year-old recalled, as per the Post. "I thought it was a stone, a bad joke, that someone picked up and threw a rock," he said. "If there was a noise, I could imagine what it could be. But I didn't hear anything, it was completely normal," the Brazilian, who studies medicine in school, added.

The 21-year-old partied on the beach and hung out with friends for four days before realising that he had a bullet lodged in his brain. It was only when he returned home that he sought medical attention. On his journey back home, Mr Facio said that his arms and fingers had stopped moving normally, causing him to repeatedly stop driving.  "I went to take a nap and woke up with my arm feeling a little silly," Mr Facio said. "I felt my fingers moving, but I didn't have the confidence to pick something up," he added.

The human body doesn’t make any sense at all. At any point, it can just decide it doesn’t want to work anymore. I have an aneurysm, and you fall on the ground dead as your family watches, and sometimes, it has the ability to preserve you for as long as possible. I’m no expert on this stuff, but getting shot in the head has a pretty high death percentage. That batting average has to be pretty close to 1.000. But adrenaline is a hell of a drug, and the party must go on; at least, that was the mindset of this 21-year-old Brazilian student, who had a bullet lodged in his head and lived to tell the tale. I would argue that shrugging off a bullet in the head just so you can go swimming and party with your friends on New Year’s is the ultimate "guys being dudes" moment. You only live once. That’s the motto, as they say.

I've never been to Rio de Janeiro. I've heard that it's a lush, beautiful place where the women have big fat asses (this is what I've heard), but is it commonplace that bullets just fly around like hotcakes? That's probably not something they should put in the tourism ad. "Come to Rio de Janeiro; you might get shot in the head." For the rest of this guy's life, none of his friends should ever question his commitment to his boys. "I'd take a bullet for you" hits a lot differently when it's taken literally. Twas merely a flesh wound.

The scariest part of this is that this guy didn't realize this was an issue until his arms stopped working. He was getting spasms in his arm, making it difficult for him to pick things up. That's always scary to me. The idea of not having control of your extremities gives me the creeps. I doubt the dude expected that he'd be diagnosed with a case of bulletintheheadanitus, but all is well that ends well, I guess.

This gentleman had a two-hour operation to remove the bullet from his skull. There was no further damage, and it seems like he's going to make a full recovery. The case is also being investigated. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's a long shot that they find who's ever responsible for this. It's 2024; shouldn't we have a "Minority Report" system at this point that should prevent crimes like this? I expected more out of the future.

How do you go on living your life like this? I don't mean that is philosophical way. You still have a job and responsibilities, but do you take more or less risks? This guy caught the ultimate break. I mean, getting shot in the head exactly a "break" but surviving it sure as hell is. Do you go back to Rio and party it up every New Year or is this one of those instances where you stay inside for like…a really, REALLY long time because there might be some "Final Destination" shit coming your way? No matter what his next step may be, the guy has forever earned himself legendary status amongst his friends.
