Jared Goff's Response To A Reporter Saying The 49ers Have More Superstars Than The Lions Is Why The Lions Have Become America's Team

Honest question - has anyone become more beloved than Jared Goff? I'm not even talking just by Lions fans either. I'm pretty sure the entire country, unless he's beat your team, has been won over by Jared Goff. Dude has done it all from win games, make a throw to seal a game, have the stadium chant his name as he kisses his swimsuit model fiancee, dunk on Skip Bayless and now this. A perfect answer and perfect one-liner when all it's going to do is sum up the Lions perfectly. 

Remember, Jared Goff likes having bulletin board material - so long as it's not by Skip Bayless. 

Saying the Lions have people not viewed as superstars like the 49ers have just opened up floodgates in the locker room. That sound you hear is Dan Campbell putting in a massive lipper and screaming about grit. The Lions were already pissed off about Amon-Ra St. Brown not making the Pro Bowl and things like that. I still laugh that people get mad about the Pro Bowl. It's not even a game anymore, it's basically becoming the YAK Challenge. 

I'll keep saying this about Goff too, but he thrives on the whole chip on the shoulder thing. For 99% of the time I think that is just made up so athletes can have some fake motivation. I also know it's tough to say Goff should have that when he was the No. 1 overall pick. But the Rams gave up on him - McVay was just waiting for the opportunity to dump him - he couldn't win a game in Detroit at the start. People were debating if the Lions should draft a QB in the first round. Now he's this. A guy who is making game-winning throws and one win away from the Super Bowl. 

I don't know if it's the good looks, the winning, being around Dan Campbell or getting married to Christen Harper, all I know is Goff is elite at responding to some slights.
