"Seeing A Lot Of Montreal Fans Leave Was Great" -- Tim Stutzle, About To Become The Most Hated Man In Quebec

The Ottawa Senators can't seem to figure it out. They're a team that has been supposed to "turn the corner" for the past 2 or 3 seasons at this point. A ton of young talent entering the organization, a bunch of skilled veterans adding the lineup like Giroux and Tarasenko, and yet they're still dead last in the Atlantic Division this year. Just a flat out putrid hockey club currently. They're going to miss the playoffs for the 7th straight season, and it's probably time to start over again. They new have new interim GM, a new interim head coach, a new owner. It's time to blow that shit up and just hope there is any foundation left to build on.

Tim Stutzle might be that guy. If not for anything but to be an absolute prick towards the Montreal Canadiens for the rest of his career.

The Senators might be a horrible hockey team right now, but they still pumped the Habs 6-2 last night at home. That was thanks to 3 points from Tim Stutzle on a goal and 2 assists. This dish to Mathieu Joseph was the one that really snapped Montreal's back in half.

Sick, twisted stuff from Jimmy Stutz. The pick up in the neutral zone, the flip to himself cutting through the slot, the backhand dish. The only thing he didn't do was bend the defenseman over his knee and give him a little spanking. But metaphorically speaking, he did exactly that. The Montreal fans who made the trip over to the Canadian Tire Centre had seen enough, and decided to take off before the final whistle.

Now the one thing I'll give those Habs fans the benefit of the doubt for is that parking at Canadian Tire Centre is a nightmare. I've only been there once but it seems like there's just one way in and out of the lots. Just getting in and out of the lot adds another hour and a half to your trip. So as much as I think leaving a game early to "beat the traffic" is for cowards, I get it.

With that being said, Tim Stutzle still bullied the shit out of the Canadiens on the ice and then bullied their fans on the mic after the game. If there's one thing I know about Montreal Canadiens fans, is that they don't forget easily. Stutzle is just 22-years-old. He probably has another 15 years left of his career. That's 15 more years to become the most hated man in all of Quebec. If the Senators can't figure out how to build a Stanley Cup contending team, at least they can annoy the shit out of the Habs for a while. Which is just as satisfying.
