UConn Breaking Out $2 Beer Night For Their First Game In 15 Years As The No. 1 Ranked Team Has To Be Some Sort Of NCAA Violation

I'm not here to argue whether or not UConn or Purdue or whoever else should be ranked No. 1. I've stopped giving a shit about the AP poll, unless they do something incredibly stupid. It's more insane that UConn has won 3 titles (fuck) in the time it took them to be ranked No. 1 in the country again. It sounds like a madeup stat, but I promise it's real. It also seems insane that UConn hasn't been ranked No. 1, especially last year when they didn't lose until December 31, but again, it's the AP poll.

This is about the move they have going on tonight. $2 beer night for the first game as the No. 1 team in the country has to be an NCAA violation. I don't even think there can be NCAA violations anymore since everything is legal - unless you're Florida State - but this is cheating to the highest degree. They have Creighton, one of the few teams who can possibly challenge them in the Big East.

And look at what JackMac says here. It's syllabus week. Everyone knows syllabus week is a fake week in college. Well, shit, all of college is basically fake. It's a 4-year free-for-all, but syllabus week you don't even have to do anything. You show up to classes for like 6 hours a week, go party every night and rinse and repeat the semester.

Oh and UConn may be getting Donovan Clingan back this week? Those beers stand no chance. There's only one logical choice here. We need to let Hurley get a little lubed up on the sidelines. If he throws sober temper tantrums we need to see what he does when he gets a little loose. Camera on him at all times.

This is what college sports should be. I know you need the donors and big money spenders so you can in turn use it on NIL and what not. But college sports should be cheap beer, drunk crowd and taunting everywhere. It's what makes it the best and $2 beer night should do the trick.
