It'd Be A Disgrace If The The Bills/Steelers Game Is Moved To Cleveland Just Because Of Some Nasty Weather And A Possible 'State Of Emergency'
I'm sorry, we're talking about Buffalo here, right? You can't just take a game away from the Bills Mafia. You can't take away a playoff game. I don't care if there's zero snow, 2 feet of snow or a state of emergency. The whole point of winning your division is getting a home playoff game. Now you're moving it to Cleveland? The only person who should be able to make the call to move the game should be the Bills. Not the NFL, not the state, no one else. I didn't see any of them on the field against Miami this past Sunday. They didn't go out and beat the Chiefs or Cowboys to ignite the run to the division.
I know that if it's moved Cleveland will do their best to show up and boo the everliving shit out of the Steelers. But that's not the point. Every team has some sort of advantage at home. The Dolphins let the opponents bench boil under the sun. The Bills have this sort of weather. You think they are scared of a foot of snow? That's called January.
I'm also aware the Bills have had games moved before, but this is the playoffs. Playoffs! They finally are running the ball and it just seems, dare I say, unfair to not let them do it in the playoffs at home. It also terrifies me that we're getting closer and closer to neutral playoff games. Can't have it. Won't have it. The only neutral game should be the Super Bowl.
Keep the game in Buffalo unless the Bills say otherwise. Let the boys play in snow the way football is supposed to be. I want ugly, I want dumb plays happening. I sure as shit don't want to watch it with the Browns elf logo around it. Worst case? Extend the playoffs! Move it back a day or something. Just keep it in Buffalo.
